This full-day interactive workshop focuses on tools, tips and techniques for creating leadership success while offering collaboration with other emerging leaders from different organizations.
This open-enrollment session is ideal for current team leaders, those who have been a manager for two years or less, or any high-potential employee who is on track to move into management.
In this session, participants will:
- Learn the most effective ways to apply the Five Practices of Exemplary Leadership® to day-to-day activities.
- Examine seven steps they can take to minimize disruption and maximize results.
- Understand how unintended behaviors can derail their success.
- Explore real-time scenarios with other participants to practice their leadership skills.
- Gain strategic and practical insights that enable them to be effective leaders and improve communication with others.
Prior to the workshop, participants will complete both the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator® (MBTI®) and the Leadership Practices Inventory® (LPI®), a 360-degree assessment based on the Five Practices of Exemplary Leadership® model. Utilizing their assessment results, participants will gain an understanding of the connection between key leadership skills and personality type preferences to increase their effectiveness as powerful communicators, productive team members, and inspiring leaders. Because feedback is an invaluable tool that helps individuals learn about their behavior and how it affects their performance at work, each participant will receive a Feedback Report that focuses on behaviors related to the Five Practices. The Feedback Report compares the participant’s view of themselves to that of raters who have evaluated and commented on the participant’s observable behaviors prior to the workshop, and it provides a more complete picture of the individual’s impact on others.
The MBTI® helps individuals identify their personality type and understand its relationship to leadership, team dynamics, performance and other areas of their work and personal lives. The LPI® is a leadership assessment tool designed to help individuals measure their leadership competencies, while guiding them through the process of applying the Five Practices of Exemplary Leadership® model to real-life organizational challenges.
