Start 2016 off with a weekend retreat designed to give you time for reflection, creativity, sharing and solitude. Mindfully embrace the New Year with a welcoming community in an exceptional and peaceful retreat setting. St. Francis Springs is a comfortable, state-of-the-art retreat center located on 140 acres of beautiful wooded property offering a natural setting for reflection and meditation. The facility is located in Stoneville, NC about 30 miles north of Greensboro, NC.

Upon arriving on Friday evening you will be greeted by Anne, Lila, and Paige. Dinner follows at 6:00pm and the opening session will begin at 7:00pm.  We’ll conclude our Friday evening activities with a closing meditation starting at 8:45pm.

Saturday morning will offer silent meditation at 7:15am for those who wish to participate.  Breakfast will be served at 8:00am in the main dining room and the Saturday morning session kicks off at 9:00am.

Betz McKeown will join us Saturday morning to discuss Healing Touch – a practice that nurtures your body and spirit holistically, helping you harness the energy within and be intentional about how you care for yourself.

Lunch will be served at noon.  Afterwards you may walk the grounds or perhaps spend contemplative time in the Glass Chapel or formal Meditation Room.

Saturday afternoon provides a variety of opportunities. Unleash your creative juices making felted jewelry, explore Healing Touch in a private session with Betz, practice meditation, or enjoy time on your own.  Participants can sign up for multiple activities, based on availability and interests.

Group Activities (optional)

  1. Felted Jewelry: For those of you who want to do a creative activity, Anne will lead two break out sessions (2 hours each) on how to make a felted necklace at $40 per session for materials. No experience is needed to join in this activity, only the desire to experiment and make something you can take home and enjoy. See pictures of necklace ideas below.
  2. Walking the Talk Meditation: Paige will lead two 1-hour break out sessions (no fee) in which participants will have time to practice meditation skills discussed in the morning talk.
  3. Yoga Meditation: Lila will lead two 1-hour break out sessions (no fee) in which participants will apply meditation skills using movement and breath.

Individual Consultation
Healing Touch: Retreat participants may sign up for an individual Healing Touch session with Betz on a first come/first serve basis. She will offer six individual 30-minute consultations at $40 per session.

Saturday evening activities begin at 6:00pm with dinner and conclude at 8:30pm with a closing meditation.

On Sunday morning, Gentle Yoga will be offered at 7:15am and breakfast at 8:00am. Sunday morning is a time of reflection, sharing, and meditation.  Activities will conclude with lunch offered in the main dining room. Full weekend agenda can be found at the bottom of this email.

Fee: Double Occupancy Room – $370 per person for the weekend; Single Occupancy Room – $450 for the weekend. Cost includes all meals and lodging. Fees for break out sessions are extra.
