It is in the New Year that we often think about resolutions, but how often do we reflect on our intentions behind those resolutions? By setting our intentions and not just goals, we begin to change our thought patterns. When we become mindful and intentional about our goals, is when we start to see our goals in action.
Beginning our day by setting our intention is stating what we expect from the day ahead. This works the same for going into a meeting, starting a project, or shaping a new habit. Begin with the end in mind, what do we want the outcome to be? What is our intention? Are our intentions pure?
At the end of our day, we should be reflecting on our intentions that we set that morning. How are we doing? Was there follow through? If we take a few moments to look back, we can learn from it, or celebrate it!
Remember, it takes just 21 days to form a new habit! In 3 weeks, we can be on our way to intentional living in 2020!
